Join Us and Help Make a Difference!
There are a number of benefits of CYD membership, including participation in our on-going statewide events, an electronic e-mail list that sends daily news updates to members, quarterly newsletters, and access to a statewide network of young people who are intelligent, fun, and politically minded. Eligible members are Democrats between the ages of 14-35 whom are interested in getting involved in the political process.
Members of our chartered clubs receive regular e-mail news, information and updates, statewide newsletters, internship and job listings, opportunities to meet elected officials and invitations to attend special events around our state. Our various events, such as leadership conferences and trainings offer members the ability to gain valuable knowledge and skills that relate to event organizing, fundraising, grassroots campaigning and activism, volunteer recruitment, political rapid response, and strategic message development to name a few.
Joining our organization is easy. There are three ways to do so:
- Join an existing Young Democrats club.
Our local chapters are active all around the state, and would be happy to welcome you at their next meeting. Click here to find a club near you.
- Join as an "at large" member of CYD.
At large membership may be ideal for those individuals whom do not live near an established local chapter yet, wish to stay informed of statewide activities and events. Click here to register as a member at large.
- Charter a new YD chapter with friends and others in your community or on your campus.
