Young Democrats Endorse the Governor’s Tax Initiative and say HELL NO to the Special Exemptions Act

The California Young Democrats (CYD) today released its positions on November ballot measures and a list of endorsed candidates. CYD President Jennifer Longley issued a statement on the overwhelming response of Young Dems:

“We haven’t seen such excitement on recommendations since CYD previously voted to endorse a position of HELL NO on Proposition 8 in 2008. Young Democrats are united in opposition to Proposition 32 because it is a blatant attack on California’s middle class,” said Longley. “We intend to build the structure and create a groundswell that defeats Proposition 32, passes Proposition 30 and drives voters young and old to the polls to support Democrats in November.”
