Retreat Information

Since the early 1990's the California Young Democrats holds a biennial retreat in Lake Tahoe to train, empower, educate and entertain its members.  Dedicated to bringing elected officials, the best trainers in the political field, special guests and speakers to the retreat, CYD is excited to bring over 300 young people from all over California to this year's event. 

Held at Lakeland Village in South Lake Tahoe, the 2007 event includes three days of jam-packed workshops, speakers, networking, fun, and much more.  CYD is buzzing with energy as we prepare for a weekend of progressive trainings and policy discussions ranging from chapter building, campaign skills, issue education, and even putting our talk into practice on the streets of South Lake Tahoe.

Retreat Registration

All participants are required to register with CYD. Registrants will receive printed meeting materials and admission to meetings, trainings, issue seminars, welcome reception, mock election activities, all meals, and Saturday banquet dinner.

You can only register one person at a time, but can use the same credit card to pay for the different people. The card name does not need to match the registrants name. If paying by check, please print out the form and mail to CYD, 510 Bercut Drive, Suite S, Sacramento, CA 95814

Registration is now $45. Fees go up to $55 on November 1st. Online registration closes on November 7th. On-site registration, if available, is $55.  On-site registrants will not be guaranteed CYD materials. 

Retreat Lodging

We are excited to bring to our participants another year at the Lakeland Beach and Mountain Resort.  On the shores of Lake Tahoe, Lakeland Village is the perfect environment for a real getaway.  This year, we have two options for housing - chapter lodging and individual lodging. Participants who seek to reserve accommodations MUST RSVP FIRST Please call 916-595-3090 to RSVP!
